Texture in clothing can add to or take away shape from the body. It is created by the surface of the garment. It can be silky, scrachy, lofty, spongy, or any other objective property you can think of.

In fashion, texture plays a mojor role in the aethetic exparience. Both implied and actual textures can be satisifying through touch and/or sight.
Through touch, one can appreciate a garment for its texture alone. For examlpe, experiencing the soft touch of a fur garment can easily help one fall into a state of comfort.
When the texture of a garment is implied it creates an illusion. With the right ussage of color, a striped scarf can replicate a candystriped lollypop. Implied textures contribute to a three-dementional look for the garment.
